Square Enix Reveals Stunning New Final Fantasy 40th Anniversary Release

✍️ What we know so far

Automatic note by LuaCat Games, built from what we know about the coverage (who reported it, how many sites, the story’s history) — not a translation or copy of the source.

So far only Polygon has run it, but that's a newsroom that checks what it publishes. Final Fantasy came out in 1987 and never left: that's 39 years of turning up in every conversation about it. The previous Final Fantasy trailer came out 40 days before this story.

Bottom line: You can treat this as firm, just keep an eye on updates.
