What we know so far

Automatic note by LuaCat Games, built from what we know about the coverage (who reported it, how many sites, the story’s history) — not a translation or copy of the source.

Headed for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Everything and Polygon have both published it — two sites saying the same thing. 39 years after its debut, Final Fantasy still starts arguments like it's brand new. The previous Final Fantasy trailer came out 36 days before this story. It’s fresh and it’s making waves with fans.

Bottom line: Better wait for someone else to confirm before taking it as a given.
