Kojima says he was 'just like Bryan' from the Resident Evil movie when he played RE1 in 1996: 'I kept getting game over after game over, shouting F***!'

✍️ What we know so far

Automatic note by LuaCat Games, built from what we know about the coverage (who reported it, how many sites, the story’s history) — not a translation or copy of the source.

This comes from PC Gamer, which does its own reporting — for now, it's the only coverage. Some people met Resident Evil in 1996; others were born long after and joined in anyway. In the 30 days before this one, 95 other Resident Evil stories ran here.

Bottom line: Safe to take the main point — it's the fine detail that sometimes shifts later.
