Hideo Kojima Defends 2026’s Most Divisive Movie, Likens It to Metal Gear Solid 2

✍️ What we know so far

Automatic note by LuaCat Games, built from what we know about the coverage (who reported it, how many sites, the story’s history) — not a translation or copy of the source.

This comes from Polygon, which does its own reporting — for now, it's the only coverage. Worth remembering the scale here: Metal Gear Solid changed what people expected from the genre back in 1998, and the bar stayed up. The previous Metal Gear trailer came out 8 days before this story.

Bottom line: Safe to take the main point — it's the fine detail that sometimes shifts later.
