Quick summary
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Naoki Hamaguchi said he did his best to fight for a disc release as the industry heads toward a "future where physical media is essentially disc-less."
What we know so far
Automatic note by LuaCat Games, built from what we know about the coverage (who reported it, how many sites, the story’s history) — not a translation or copy of the source.
This comes from IGN, which does its own reporting — for now, it's the only coverage. Some people met Final Fantasy in 1987; others were born long after and joined in anyway. The previous Final Fantasy trailer came out 17 days before this story.
Bottom line: Safe to take the main point — it's the fine detail that sometimes shifts later.
