Quick summary
Fortnite's annual Halloween event, Fortnitemares, is now live, filling the Item Shop with scary skins and the island with themed weapons and decor.
What we know so far
Automatic note by LuaCat Games, built from what we know about the coverage (who reported it, how many sites, the story’s history) — not a translation or copy of the source.
This comes from Polygon, which does its own reporting — for now, it's the only coverage. Worth remembering the scale here: Hollow Knight changed what people expected from the genre back in 2017, and the bar stayed up. The previous Fortnite trailer came out 8 days before this story.
Bottom line: Safe to take the main point — it's the fine detail that sometimes shifts later.
