✍️ What we know so far

Automatic note by LuaCat Games, built from what we know about the coverage (who reported it, how many sites, the story’s history) — not a translation or copy of the source.

This comes from Anime News Network, which does its own reporting — for now, it's the only coverage. Some people met Resident Evil in 1996; others were born long after and joined in anyway. In the 30 days before this one, 100 other Resident Evil stories ran here.

Bottom line: This story already had 1 chapter before this one — check “How the story developed” below. Safe to take the main point — it's the fine detail that sometimes shifts later.
