Jagex cancels RuneScape Reignited less than two weeks after it was announced, due to "a ton" of player feedback

✍️ What we know so far

Automatic note by LuaCat Games, built from what we know about the coverage (who reported it, how many sites, the story’s history) — not a translation or copy of the source.

This comes from Eurogamer, which does its own reporting — for now, it's the only coverage. The previous RuneScape trailer came out 11 days before this story. In the 30 days before this one, 25 other RuneScape stories ran here. Hot off the press — the kind of news that gets the community going.

Bottom line: Safe to take the main point — it's the fine detail that sometimes shifts later.
