Quick summary
An already beautiful game and a spectacular RPG... hobbled by Square Enix's bad business decisions.
What we know so far
Automatic note by LuaCat Games, built from what we know about the coverage (who reported it, how many sites, the story’s history) — not a translation or copy of the source.
This comes from Anime News Network Reviews, which does its own reporting — for now, it's the only coverage. Some people met Dragon Quest in 1986; others were born long after and joined in anyway. In the 30 days before this one, 15 other Dragon Quest stories ran here.
Bottom line: Safe to take the main point — it's the fine detail that sometimes shifts later.
