Quick summary
Battlefield 6 is getting a Dead Space event in time for Halloween. EA and Dice are calling it a “non-canon” event, which means the Battlefield 6 developer can go wild with it. Necromorphs in Area 51? Why not?
What we know so far
Automatic note by LuaCat Games, built from what we know about the coverage (who reported it, how many sites, the story’s history) — not a translation or copy of the source.
This comes from IGN, which does its own reporting — for now, it's the only coverage. Some people met Battlefield in 2002; others were born long after and joined in anyway. The previous Battlefield trailer came out 2 days before this story.
Bottom line: Safe to take the main point — it's the fine detail that sometimes shifts later.
